"Gann Made Easy" is not so much a book as a course, complete with charts and chart overlays. Chapter One deals with the psychological disciplines needed for successful trading such as mastering Hope, Fear and Greed, and the discipline of placing a protective stop loss to preserve both your physical as well as your psychological capital.
‘How Markets Move’ is a particularly important piece dealing with the different phases a market goes through, such as trend and counter trend moves, tops and bottoms, as well as side-ways moves.
Bill McClaren emphasises, that it is vital to have these basic understandings of price and movement which "…are the foundation of analysis and all else is built upon this knowledge".
The ‘Squaring of Price and Time’ is covered in depth by introducing the reader to the techniques used by Gann such as:

- The Square of Nine
- Time cycles
- The Planets and Geometric Vibration
